Summer Haul

Hey guys,

As it's a bank holiday today, we decided to go and check out a shopping centre that has just recently opened. As summer is just around the corner, I decided to go into boots and pick up some things! So lets see what I got:)

I picked this up as I thought it looked interesting, and I have used there face wash before and it had good results. This claims to reduce appearance of your breakouts overnight, so it sounds pretty good.

I got this because I wanted a refreshing eye cream for summer and I like the scent of cucumbers. I have not tried this yet, but it looks quite good and the reviews online are promising.

I got this because I had heard Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi talk about this on her YouTube channel, and as I am going on holiday, I thought I should get a good aftersun. Also the smell of this is amazing.

Again, as I am going abroad this year I thought that I should get a facial suncream as I don't like applying thick body suncream to my face. This smells nice and says it is good for sensitive skin.

As summer is just around the corner, its important that our feet are well cared for. I have heard people rave about this foot cream, and overall I seem to like soap and glory's products so I'm excited to try this!

I also went to H&M and picked up a baggy t-shirt that I can wear with shorts, or over my bikini when I go on holiday.

This is from their basics range and was £7.99 :)

So that's all I got today. The weather has been so nice lately, it makes me so excited for summer!! I nearly finish school as well, and I just have so much to look forward to!!

Hope you guys are having a nice day!!

The Sunday Post #3

Hey Guys!

I haven't done a Sunday Post in ages, so I thought as I have a spare half an hour, I'd sit down and type one up for you guys! :)

So, If any of you live in England then you may be aware it is currently 'Summer Exam Season' I have 13 GCSE Exams to complete, but last week I did 4 of them (2 French, Biology and Dance) so I guess that's Ok. I think I did okay in them, but I am dreading  this week where I have Chemistry tomorrow, 2 German on Wednesday, and Physics and English on Thursday.... omg.

I suppose a positive to that is next Friday, I get to go on Study Leave which is good. I only have 4 exams after that, and 3 of them are maths (eurgh) so if you are wondering why there is a lack of blog posts at the moment, heres your reason!!

Now, I usually look forward to summer, but this years summer, will be so so so great! I have Prom, I'm going abroad, I'll have finished my exams, and I have college to look forward to! ahh....

On the subject of Prom, I don't know why but when it came to the first of May, I decided that I wasn't going to drink any carbonated drinks until prom (25th June) So far, so good although I am craving lemonade!! D: (I'll literally binge out on Lemonade at prom, so yeah. Lemonade is my weakness...)

Anyway, If any of you live in Europe, did you watch Eurovision yesterday? I thought some of the songs were quite good, but as per usual I fell asleep before the winner was announced. (I think Denmark won)

If any of you watch Glee on a Sunday here in England, then lets just take a moment to discuss last weeks episode 'shooting star' omgg. It made me cry so much! I thought that was a really good episode of Glee, because I have actually never cried so much at a TV programme... Ever! haha.. oh dear, I think I have become too emotionally attached to the characters.  (Blaine Anderson I'm looking at you)

So yeah.. Not much else to say really. How has your week been? Mine was a bit stressful, but it went really fast so no complaints there really.

On that note, see you soon, and have a great week! :)

Urban Decay Goodies

Hello :)

As I'm sure you are aware by now if you have been following my blog for a while, I recently got my hands on the Urban Decay Naked Palette. It was literally love at first sight.

Anyway, My Nan took me shopping the other day for my birthday and she got me some Urban Decay goodies I had been eyeing for a while so, heres what she got me:) (Thanks Nan!!)

The first thing I got was the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (£20). I got this because I thought it would be good for every day use, or when I want to do a matte eye.

Inside, there are 6 colours, 5 of which are matte, and one is a satin finish.

Venus- A satin pearly white colour- great for highlighting.
Foxy- A yellowy cream colour
Walk Of Shame- A natural pinky toned colour. Good for all over the lid
Naked 2- A taupe/ grey colour, would work good in the crease
Faint- A dark brown, would work as a darker crease colour or for smokey eyes.
Crave- An intense black, could work great as an eyeliner, or for smokey eye looks.

The next thing my Nan got me is the 24/7 glide on eye pencil in the shade corrupt (£14).  The lady at the counter tried this on me and it really complimented my eye colour. It's really creamy but once you allow it to dry, she claimed it will stay on all day so I'm excited to try this out.

You guys should know by now that I'm awful at swatching things, but this is my attempt ;) Corrupt is a brown shade which looks more natural than black.

I got a free mascara as Urban Decay were having a deal that if you bought two or more products you get a free mascara.

I haven't really heard much about this, but usually I'm a fan of curling mascaras so we shall see how I get on with this.

So that's what I got from Urban Decay and I'm really excited to start using these products :) I'd like to get the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette next, or the Naked Flushed Palette. But we shall see. :)

Hope you're all doing well:)
Have you tried anything from Urban Decay?

My Haircare Routine

Hello!

I thought I'd share with you my haircare routine as I have stuck to this for a while now and it seems to work well at the moment!

I wash my hair every other day, firstly because it is really long and honestly quite tedious for me to wash my hair. Don't get me wrong, I hate when my hair is dirty, but for me its more of a chore. Another reason I don't wash my hair everyday is because it strips your hair of its natural oils which will make your hair dry and more prone to heat damage.

Anyway enough rambling, on to the products!

Aussie Mega Shampoo & Conditioner

I use the MEGA shampoo and conditioner from Aussie. Generally speaking, anything from this brand I tend to like as I love the smell, but it always makes my hair look good.

What I like about this particular duo, is that the shampoo really cleans my hair, to the point where it feels 'squeaky clean' which is good as it gets rid of product buildup etc..

Then after I shampoo my hair, I take the conditioner and run it through the ends of my hair. I don't like to put conditioner on my roots because it makes me get greasier hair quicker. I leave the conditioner on whilst I wash my body, then I rinse it off.

Also the smell of this is amazzzzinnggg! It's quite difficult to describe, but to me it kind of smells like pink lemonade, it is like the authentic Aussie scent but a bit more fruity. Also the smell lingers in my hair which i love.

Avon Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Leave in Treatment

After I get out of the shower, I towel dry my hair and brush it through with my Tangle Teezer (Post here) then I apply one pump of this leave in oil to the ends of my hair. It doesn't make my hair oily, it makes it really soft and I don't know if its just me wishing it does, but I really do think it helps with the appearance of split ends... (anything helps! Although the only way to get rid of them for good is to snip them off!)

Phil Smith Curly Locks Curl Perfecting Spray

If I'm planning on curling my hair, or putting it into plaits before bed then I will spray this curling spray into my hair. It smells lush and it makes my hair hold a curl a lot better.

After this I will blow dry my hair. If i'm not curling my hair I will just use the oil, but for my regular heat defense spray I use the Paul Smith SOS Rescue Hot Iron Mist.  It smells nice and the mist on it is really good.

So that's basically what I do to my hair! I also try to avoid using heat when I can, so If i'm not going anywhere I will let my hair air dry. I also try to avoid using heated appliances on my hair when I can.

I hope this remotely useful/interesting to at least one person? haha! Anyways, hope you're all having a lovely day!

Also, I have changed my blog design because I got bored of the pink, and I like Minty colours for summer. What do you guys think?? (hope you like it!)

What do you use on your hair?

Army Wife. Style. Life. Guest Post | My Everyday Face

Well hi there! It's that time of the week where you get see me over here on Lauren's blog! Lucky you! Today, I'm going to tell you all about my every day face.

My every day face is pretty simple, as most days I don't do very much besides my day-to-day wifey duties. I like to keep my face simple and not covered in tons of product. The same goes for my eyes as well. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, and I'm done.

As far as my every day foundation routine goes, I just apply a small amount of Revlon's PhotoReady foundation all over and then a little bit of e.l.f.'s concealer on my undereyes. I love both of these, as the foundation is light to medium coverage but is very buildable, and the same goes for the concealer. The only other product I will use on my face from day to day is blush, and my go to is Benefit's Coralista.

For my eyes and lips I like to keep it pretty minimal as well. If I use eyeshadow, I will typically only use one or two colors and they're always neutral ones. I do like to line my lashes and wear mascara everyday. My current favorites are the Wet n' Wild Intense Eyes liquid liner and the Benefit They're Real! Mascara. I normally don't wear lipsticks on days in, but I do like to wear something that is hydrating, so I will almost always reach for one of my Chubby Sticks or the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains. They add just the right amount of color and they just feel so great on my lips! After that, voila! I'm done. :)

I hope you enjoyed this! What products do you use day to day? Let me know! Don't forget to check out

See ya next Wednesday

MAC Haul!

Hello!

Today I'm going to share with you what I recently purchased at MAC. I know its not a lot, but I have been wanting these for ages, and Im trying to gradually build up my MAC collection!

I purchased the MAC Paint Pot in the shade Bare Study, and the infamous MAC 217 brush.

Bare Study is a gorgeous nude/shimmery champagne colour which can work as a base or just on it's own. I have wanted this for so long, so I'm really excited to try it :D

The next thing I got was the MAC 217 Brush as I have been wanting this for such a long time. As I recently got the naked pallette, I thought it was a good time to invest in a good blending brush.

I am slowly trying to build up my MAC Collection, so if you guys have any recommendations for me, then please leave a comment and let me know, I'd be really grateful for any suggestions:)

What's your favourite product from MAC?

April Favourites!

Hey guys!

It feels like I havn't blogged properly in ages, but I am today and I'm back with my April Favourites! April flew by for me. It literally went so quickly and I can't quite believe we are into May already!!

So yeah, enough rambling, lets get into it!

Make-up / Nails

I got given this for my Birthday, and I never expected it to work as well as it did! (excuse the pic, but it needs a clean!) It makes your foundation go on so naturally, and although it takes a bit more effort, I think its so worth it!!

I can't believe I have only just got this! I actually think I am love. (You think i'm over exaggerating!) I got given this for my birthday, and I love it so so so much! The eyeshadows are so pigmented, and gorgeous! I also am loving the primer potion it comes with as well, as I never used to use a primer -never again. My favourite colours at the moment are Sin, and Naked.

I've been loving this mascara lately. I like that it really is very black, which I need as my lashes are basically non-existent without mascara! I also like that it really volumizes my lashes without looking too clumpy. The staying power is pretty decent compared to other drugstore mascaras!

This has become my favourite nail polish. Ever. I love everything about this nail varnish, I love the colour, I love that you only need one coat to get full opacity, and most of all its only £3.99! I got so many compliments when I wore this and people were saying to me "WOW! What is on your nails? Its gorgeous!" I can't wait until the Summer when  I can wear this all the time! Its gorgeous!!

Body/Perfume

I have been using this virtually every day this month, and it makes my skin so soft! I like the scent of Aloe Vera as it reminds me of summer which I cannot wait for! I also have this in the scent Mango which is equally as gorgeous!

Again, another Birthday gift, this perfume is so nice! It's literally summer in a bottle! (well, not really but it smells like it!) I am pretty bad with describing scents, so I'll just say it smells really girly and summery.

I can't believe I hadn't tried this for so long. Again, I had asked for this for my Birthday and I'm so glad I did. It is hands down THE BEST cleanser I have ever tried. I love it. Its made a drastic difference to the way my skin looks and feels, and the first time I used this with the muslin cloth, I ran into my mums room afterwards saying "Oh my gosh, feel my face!! It's so soft!!" I love this!! It doesn't sting my eyes either which is a bonus.

Bit of a weird favourite, but I had to include this! This smells soooo good! It smells so summery, and fresh and overall its just a pretty good deodorant!

Blimey! Thats a long post! Haha, anyways so that's what I've been loving for this month!

What have you been loving this month?

Introduction! | Guest Post Army Wife. Style. Life.

Well hi there!

I'm Megan, from the blog Army Wife. Style. Life.  Last month, I came up with the idea to have a collab with a few different ladies, and Lauren was amazing enough to agree to doing it! I'm very excited to see where this will take us over the next month!

I guess I should tell you all a little bit about myself, so I'll get on to doing just that!

My name is Megan, as you already know. I am a Louisiana born, 19 year old girl living in Italy with my amazing husband and very soon my one year old Australian Shepherd, Charlie. I live in Italy because my husband is in the U.S. Army and we will be stationed here for the next 2-3 years. Don't worry, even though it's in the name, I actually don't talk about Army life too much. It's mostly boring and uninteresting, so I never feel the need to share.

The left is me and my husband, the day he graduated from boot camp. (he would kill me if he knew I was posting this picture :P ) We got married a week later.  The left is my baby, Charlie. She will be moving to Italy in less than 2 weeks! She is seriously my pride and joy. I think I love her more than my husband some times. :P

I have always had a love for all things beauty related, but over the past year or so it's escalated! Right before moving to Italy, I decided to start a blog to help pass the time, and so I could share my love affair with beauty related things to the world! You'll find that this is the main topic of my blog. Sometimes, I try to cook things and be crafty so I share these things too!
I plan to attend cosmetology school as soon as we get back to the states. I also have a knack for photography, which I occasionally post about as well. They're both things that I absolutely love doing and I really hope to one day have a career in both fields!
appreciate all of you taking the time to read this post, and I especially appreciate Lauren for agreeing to take part in this idea of mine!

Have an amazing day, everyone! And don't forget to head over to my blog to see Lauren's first post!
