What's In My Clutch Bag? | Prom Edition!
Hey guys!
Last Tuesday, I had my prom and I thought i'd show you what I took with me in my clutch bag. (Expect a FOTD prom post which will have pictures :) coming shortly!)
I couldn't take that much with me as my bag was quite small, but here's what I took!
Rollasole Rollable Shoes
I originally took these as I thought if I was going to be dancing my feet would start to hurt, however i'm so glad I took these as my heel snapped! I was a bit annoyed but I had these so luckily I was okay :D
They don't look the nicest on your feet, but if your feet are killing you, I don't think you'll care that much!
Phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace)
This is pretty self explanatory but I bought my phone with me :)
Camera
I actually didn't take my camera in its case (which is pictured) however I'm using it to take this photo so I wanted to show you that it was there! I got loads of pictures and I'm planning a FOTD Prom edition where I'll share some of my fav's.
Mirror
This came in very useful for me for touching up on lipgloss, or just checking my makeup if I didn't feel like going to the toilets. Everyone else kept asking to use it too! :)
Chewing Gum
I took some gum with me for after our meal, just to freshen up a bit.
Benefit Lipgloss in Foxy Lady
This was my lipgloss of choice for the evening so I bought it with me, so I could top up throughout the night.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Lastly, I bought my concealer as everyone wants to look good at prom! This came in so useful!
So that's everything I took with me to prom, (Minus my prom ticket, and £10) I hope you enjoyed this post, and look out for the FOTD post coming soon! :D

The Sunday Post #4
Hello!
I thought I'd do another Sunday Post, as I have not done one in a while, and I felt like updating you all a little bit. Sorry if you don't like these kinds of posts, but I'll have some more beauty related posts up this week :)
So this week I finished my exams finally, and I've basically finished school now! I have to go in next week, but it's only for a leavers assembly so shouldn't be too bad. The exams I had this week were, History and three maths exams. I think they went okay, but you never really know! When I get my results in August I'll let you all know (unless they're awful) what I got, because I keep mentioning them in blog posts so yeah! Hopefully my hard work payed off!!
I cannot believe my prom is in 9 days!!! That's CRAZY!!! I am all sorted, I have my dress, shoes, clutch and I actually decided that I am going to do the makeup myself, so if any of you have any tips for good prom makeup (EG. looks good in photos) then let me know:) My hair is being done by someone different now, and I had a trial earlier this month and I love it:) I am thinking about getting my nails done but I'm unsure...
Speaking of nails, I thought I would show you my current Nail Varnish I am wearing. Excuse the crappy photo, but I took it on my phone.
I am absolutely loving this combo on my nails right now! It may not be to everyones taste, but If you want me to I can do a post on it this week? Let me know.
So basically, I am off for the summer now! I have applied for a job but I have not heard anything back yet but fingers crossed. I hope the sun comes out because its been raining here this week, and I want to go to the beach! :(
I've been addicted to Sims Freeplay for my kindle fire currently, and I just bought a mansion! WOO. If any of you have the Sims Freeplay, I would love to know!
Anyway, I hope you are all having a nice day, and Dad If you are reading this, Happy Fathers Day, Hope you had a good day! :D

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Review/Collection
Hello,
I have been blogging a lot more recently because I only have ONE MORE EXAM LEFT!! woo.
Anyway I thought I would do a review on the infamous Lip Butters by Revlon. Over the months, I have collected four shades which I don't think is too bad if I'm honest.
The shades I own are, Juicy Papaya, Tutti Frutti, Wild Watermelon, and Berry Smoothie. It has just occurred to me that all of these shades have something to do with fruit in their names...
If you have been following my blog for a while, you may have heard me talk about these before. Here are some swatches for you. (I actually managed to take a decent picture!!)
When these first came out in the USA, all the US bloggers and YouTubers were raving about them! These bad boys were everywhere! I remember watching the TV one day and the advert with Emma Stone came on and I was so excited! Naturally, I went to Boots the next day to pick one up.
I really am a fan of these LipButters, because quite frankly I don't really feel confident wearing lipstick. I really like how these are colourful, but they are like a tinted lipbalm. They are really easy to work with because of this, but also they still provide colour.
Excuse the stupid smile and crappy photos :P
Here you can see roughly what the shades look like on my lips. :)
Juicy Papaya is my everyday shade. I really like it because it's subtle enough for everyday use, but it's also just a really nice colour. It's a sheer orangey pink colour which I find to be really flattering on me. Its the sheerest shade of these I own, but thats what I like about it.
Tutti Frutti was actually the first shade I bought. It's a bright orange colour that I love to wear in summer, or on nights out. Even though it looks quite scary when swatched, it looks really nice on the lips and you can make it subtle, or you can choose to build it up for a really high impact colour.
Wild Watermelon is a bright red/coral shade. This is a recent purchase so I haven't had much chance to wear it out yet. It looks really flattering on the lips though, and you can wear it quite sheerly, but you can really build this up. ALOT. I think this shade would be good if you are looking to 'dip your toes' into red lips as it isn't too dramatic.
Berry Smoothie is quite hard to describe. I guess you could say its a pinky brownish colour. Some people won't like this shade, but for me its really nice. I have really opaque lips so I find some shades don't work for me. I like wearing this in evenings because it pulls any look together perfectly. One thing I should mention about this shade though, is although I have not photographed it well, this is the shade with the most glitter particles in. Its not too much though.
So there is my review/collection of Lip Butters. I don't know what shade to purchase next as I'm not a fan of bright pink lips. (Strawberry Shortcake wouldn't suit me)
Hope you're having a good day!!
Do you have any Lip Butters? What's your opinion?

First Impressions: Max Factor Clump Defy Waterproof Mascara
Hello again lovelies!
Today I'm going to be doing a first impressions post on a recent purchase I made recently. Max Factor Clump Defy Waterproof mascara was recently on sale for £7.99 down from £10.99 so I decided to buy it as I was in need of a waterproof mascara.
Here is a close up shot of the brush. It is a plastic, curved brush which might not be to everyone's taste. I have heard that this looks quite similar to the Maybelline Falsies Wand.
I like the wand, I think it's good for reaching hard to reach lashes. Now I'm going to show you before and after shots of my eyes.
There are two things you may notice about this picture. First is that I am awful at applying mascara to the back of my lashes, but also that this really is clump free.
This was about two coats, and I feel like it gave me length and definition. For me though, I usually prefer more voluminous mascaras, and I like my lashes curly. I did curl my lashes before I applied this mascara. I took these photos yesterday, and although this claims to be waterproof, it had smudged by the end of the day which I didn't expect.
Overall, Although this mascara really is clump free, I don't really feel like its for me, I'll run you through some pro's and con's because for all I know this may turn out to be your Holy Grail Mascara!!
Pro's
1. No Clumping.
2. Lengthens Lashes.
3. The wand shape allows to get to those hard to reach lashes.
Con's
1. Doesn't hold a curl very well.
2. Smudged on me by the end of the day.
3. Didn't add much volume to my lashes.
Overall, I don't think I have found a new HG mascara, but I will use this again! :) You can purchase here.
What do you guys think on the Max Factor (covergirl in USA) mascaras?

May Favourites 2013
Hey guys!
First off, sorry for lack of blog posts but it's exam season at the moment! (I only have three left! yippeee!!!) And i'd also like to apologize for the lateness of my Favourites, but as someone once said, better late than never...
Anyways, lets just get straight to it.
Beauty wise, I wasn't very experimental at all in May. I literally did the same face everyday...
I think this is partly because I had exams, but also because I couldn't be bothered ;) anyway..
Urban Decay NAKED Basics Pallette
I have been using the shade W.O.S (3rd shade in) all over my lid, and use Naked 2 (4th shade in) in my crease and BAM. I'm good to go! I like this because it requires minimal effort, but it also looks quite polished, and makes me look awake when I'm probably asleep inside!
Rimmel Natural Bronzer with SPF 8
I have liked using this as the weather got pretty nice towards the end of may. I use it where my cheekbones are, and on my temples to warm up my face. I like this bronzer (as you can see) because it doesn't look orange or 'muddy' on my face.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Recently, I decided to buy the Real Techniques Core Collection and this was the brush I was most excited to try! I really like applying my foundation with this because it blends it out really easily, and I'm not left with that dreaded line on your chin/side of face! Its really soft, and washes well too.
Moving on to random body/face products..
Garnier Hand Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Hand Cream Mango Oil
My hands are always really dry as I like to wash them all the time (weird I know) but this really helps. I love the smell as it is so summery, but also I like that this absorbs almost instantly. I wouldn't say it lasts for 7 days but it does last a while.
Hawaiian Tropic Sensitive Face Sun Lotion SPF 30
If you couldn't tell by my blog name, Curious Ginger, I am ginger therefore going with the typical stereotype have fair skin. I hate applying suncream to my face when I'm out because it always makes me look greasy etc... but I really like this. It hasn't broken me out and my face doesn't get burnt :)
Body Shop Mango Shower Gel
My friend got me a mango body shop gift for my birthday, and this is my favourite product from it! I love the smell, and just the consistency It lathers up really well, and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. A win for me!
Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Overnight Treatment Gel
I have been using this a lot towards the end of May, and I really like it. It helped to clean away breakouts, and feels pleasant when you apply it. Its quite cooling and smells lush too!
So, thats what I was loving in the month of May :) What about you? xx

Guest Post | Army Wife, Style, Life | Products Worth/Not Worth The Hype!
note from Lauren: Sorry Its late, my internet has been down for a week in my area, its fixed now so all's good!!
Hey ladies!
It's Megan here, and today I'll be telling you all about my beauty hits and misses. Please know that these products are the ones that did/didn't work for me. If I happen to talk about some of your favorite products as products I hate, remember that this is soley based on my opinion!
It's Megan here, and today I'll be telling you all about my beauty hits and misses. Please know that these products are the ones that did/didn't work for me. If I happen to talk about some of your favorite products as products I hate, remember that this is soley based on my opinion!
Products Worth The Hype:
Benefit They're Real! Mascara: This mascara just does wonders for my lashes. It lengthens them tremendously, it seperates like no other, and it even volumizes. I feel like I could put 10 coats on my lashes and they would never get spidery. This mascara is win all around.
Benefit Boxed Blushes: Benefit's boxed blushes are my favorite blushes ever. They're slightly expensive, I think they're around the $28 mark, but they're so worth it. I have used my Coralista blush almost every day for the past three months and I have yet to even start to make a dent. These come with so much product, you will never run out.
Wet N' Wild Eyeshadows: For the longest time I was put off by Wet N' Wild products. They were the products that I had used in jr. high when I first started getting into makeup. I didn't remember them being anwhere near as amazing as they actually are. I am so glad that I spent the $3 on my Comfort Zone palette (pictured above) because I use it almost every single day. They are definitely some of the more pigmented eyeshadows I've ever worked with.
Revlon Kissable Balm Stains: For the longest time I wouldn't jump on this bandwagon. But I have, and I won't be jumping off. These balm stains are the perfect every day lipsticks. They're hydrating, easy to wear, and give the most perfect amount of color.
Products Not Worth The Hype:
Revlon ColorStay Eyeshadow: I really just hate this. I own two of them, for whatever reason, and you really have to dig to get any sort of color pay off. I have seen so many raves about them and I just do not understand why. These eyeshadows are a complete miss for me.
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation: One word: Orange.
Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies: This miss actually goes for most of the Volum' Express collection. My eyelashes are pretty short and sparse, so most mascaras are just a pain in the ass for me. The only mascara from this collection that I've gotten to work for me is The Rocket. Even it doesn't work every day for me. I blame it on my lashes, not so much the product. But alas, this is a miss for me.
Revlon Lip Butters: Oh no. I'm probably going to hit a nerve with the beauty community. While I do own quite a few of these lip colors, four to be exact, I am just not a fan. But I am crazy and I like to waste my money. I am a lipstick kind of girl. I like there to be a good amount of color pay off. I don't like tints or sheer colors. I like full on color. Even for day to day, I still like it to be noticable. These babies just don't do it for me.
MAC Brushes: Once again, I'm probably hitting a nerve here, but whatever. I just don't like MAC brushes. Period. I find that my $3 elf brushes and my Real Techniques do a far better job. Not to mention they are much, much softer. If you're looking for new makeup brushes, don't waste your money here. Go with elf or Real Techniques. I would even recommend Eco Tools over MAC.
Well, that's all for my hits and misses! I actually have so many more hits, but I figured this post was long enough. I hope that if you were on the hunt for any new products, this post helps you out! Honestly, it took me a while to do the misses because I like to do a lot of research on products before I buy them. I encourage you to do the same, before going out and spending your money.
Until next week!
