July Favourites

August is fast approaching, so here comes the July Favourites. I'd say July was a pretty good month for me overall. I had a taster day at college which I enjoyed, I got a job, I went to spain, and the weather has been good! Roll on August!

Makeup Favourites

KIKO Full Coverage Concealer

I got this about half way through the month, and I really like it. It suits my skin better now I have a bit of a tan, and it stays on all day! Also I like the packaging as it comes with a mirror, so thats really practical!

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream

I was using this non-stop through the beginning of July! It's a bit light for me now, but I thought It still deserved a mention. Usually I don't like BB creams as I found they just didn't give me the coverage I wanted, but this one is different. It provides good coverage, and lasts a pretty long time. One thing I will say is I hate the smell of it!

MAC Paintpot In Bare Study

I think I can safely say I used this everyday in July. It's really nice and has a subtle shimmer which makes you look really awake. I put this on all over my lid, and sometimes I'll just leave it like that, but usually I put my eyeshadow on top of this and it lasts all day!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

I have been loving wearing brighter colours on my lips this month, and I found myself reaching for this one alot. I'm sure by now, everyone and their cat has heard about these Lip Butters, but they are really moisturizing, and the colour range is great.

Gold by Giles Pink Nail Varnish

It doesn't look like anything special in the bottle, but when you put it on your nails it transforms into a neon pink! I used this on my toes for my holiday, and it makes you look really tanned! Also the colour is gorgeous!

Body/Random Favourites

Body Shop Mango Body Scrub

I love the smell of this! I have been using this scrub as the weather got warmer, to buff away my skin and I love the effect of this! It makes my skin feel so soft, and as I mentioned , it smells amazing! If mango isn't for you, there are lots of different scents so next time you pass by The Body Shop, go in and have a sniff!

St Ives Fresh Skin Invigorating Apricot Scrub

Sticking to scrubbing away dead skin cells (That sounds nice..) This month, I have been loving this scrub for my face. It's not too abrasive but I can still feel it better than other scrubs I have used in the past. The scent of this is also really nice, and it hasn't broken me out.

Tangle Teezer

This has been my lifesaver of the month. I love this hairbrush, and I cannot reccomend it enough! It works well on wet hair as well which is really handy, especially when you are jumping in and out of the pool/sea. Also my mum and sister love it too, which is very rare!

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Perfume

I took this on my holiday and now every time I spray it, it reminds me of Spain! I love this, it's quite sweet, but not too much.. Okay I am awful at describing scents, but If you get the chance to smell it, please do!

Randomly, this month I have had an OBSESSION with lemon sorbet. I love it! It's so refreshing and I just love it! Yummy! Now I want some lemon sorbet :(

Also from Costa, I've been loving their Red Berry Cooler, It is so yummy and all of my friends like it too!

So, there are the things I have been loving throughout July!

Have you tried the Tangle Teezer?

Song Of The Week | Reload

Hello! I thought I would try something a bit new this week, as I want to add diversity to my blog.

I'm going to start a 'series' where I tell you all what song I have been loving this week! Obviously, one week I might not have one, but the next I might have been loving two songs, so I'm leaving this pretty open.

This week the song I have been listening to over and over again has been Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash & Johnny Martin- Reload.

This song screams summer to me and I absolutely can't get enough of it!

You can have a listen here :) What song have you been loving this week?

5 Summer Beauty Tips!

Hello!

For most people, It is now officially summer so I thought I would share with you some top tips to keep you looking beautiful all summer long... :D So lets get started.

1. Protect Your Skin!

Now, I'm sure everyone knows that they should wear sunscreen  however a lot of people often skip wearing it. I think this is because it's something else you have to add into the routine. For example my sister hates putting it on because she thinks she won't tan.
After a quick bit of research I found out that wearing sunscreen DOES NOT stop you getting a tan. (Sunblock might be better for that) You can protect your skin from the harmful rays, whilst still getting that gorgeous glow! There are so many different types of sun creams out there, from waterproof, to moisturizing, you are bound to find one to suit you. (I reccomend using AT LEAST SPF15)

2. Less is more!

I don't mean clothing wise (Although some girls feel the need to basically wear denim pants around nowadays- no hate, if you have the body for it, good for you) I mean makeup wise.
For me I find it quite difficult to change my makeup in the summer because in England we don't really get super hot days. This year however, we have. Instead of going for a full coverage foundation, I use a full coverage concealer on any imperfections, maybe BB Cream for a special occasion, but usually just powder. Then I have a really natural eye look, and a bright lip colour. If you would like to see this look, leave a comment below!
Also, by using less makeup, it gives your skin a chance to breathe which is always good!

3. Try and give your hair a break.

I know this can be difficult, but try and avoid using heat on your hair during the summer months. If you can get away without using a hairdryer, then don't! But if you have to, make sure you use a heat protectant. Also if you wash your hair before bed, let it airdry for a bit, and then put it into two french plaits. In the morning you will wake up with a really pretty hairstyle that requires minimal effort! Also be sure to use a good conditioner as the sun/sea can be drying on your hair.

4. Experiment with colours!

If you are a neutrals kind of girl like I am, you might find it difficult to add some colour to your look. It doesn't have to be as drastic as a whole eyeshadow look using bright colours, but maybe try a brightly coloured eyeliner, or a brighter lipstick. What I like to do, is wear neon nail varnish on my nails/toenails as It makes me look slightly more tan, but also because It looks cool!

5. Exfoliate your skin!

You should do this all year round, but in summer it's important to exfoliate your face and body to get rid of any dead skin cells, which will leave your skin silky soft. Use a moisturizer afterwards to make sure your skin doesn't dry out. Also when you shave your legs in summer, try using conditioner instead of shaving foam, its a cheaper alternative and makes your legs soft soft soft!

Bonus Tip/Advice!

It can be difficult to know what to wear in summer, especially if you don't like your legs, but I think, just dress how YOU want to. You don't have to wear the same clothes as your friends do. Sure, they might make them look AMAZING, but don't be discouraged if they don't work for you! Everyone is different and has their own style!

So there are just some quick tips, to keep you in tip top shape for summer! If you liked this post please let me know! :D

KIKO Makeup Haul

As I'm sure you may be aware of, I recently got back from spain, and whilst I was there I found this really cool makeup shop called KIKO.

I got a few items there so I thought I would haul them for you. Even though I got these in Spain, they do have an English website so If you are interested in any of these products, I'll link the website at the end of this post :)

Firstly (This isn't from KIKO but I pictured it anyway) I bought the China Glaze Nail Polish in the shade Frostbite. I have done an NOTD featuring this, so If you'd like to see that click here.

Now onto the KIKO products. The first thing I picked up was a mascara (Unfortunately I haven't pictured the products individually so I'll use the pictures on the website, hope you don't mind!)

This is the Luxurious Lashes Waterproof Mascara. I was looking for a good waterproof mascara on holiday as my one was epicly failing. Max Factor Clump Defy Waterproof, yeah not really that waterproof are you? Hellooooo Panda! Anyway, I have tried this out and it really is waterproof! I also love how it makes my lashes look too.

The next thing I decided to pick up was the Full Coverage Concealer in shade 02. This looked intriguing to me and It hasn't disappointed me. All I have been wearing recently is this concealer, powder, mascara and I'm good to go! Its really amazing!

I then picked up an eyeshadow. I got the shade 139 which is not this colour! You can kind of see what colour I got in the first photo, but they call it Pearly salmon or something. I LOVE THIS. It really flatters my eye color and the quality is amazing!

I was just about to pay and then I saw these Lip Gloss Pencils and I had to get one. I got mine in the shade 16, which is a sparkly pink shade. I didn't think it would suit me but when I tried it, I actually really liked it!

I didn't actually buy this, my Mum did but I thought I would show you anyway. This is a nail varnish and when it dries it has a 'Sugar Mat' Finish. What that means basically is that it almost has the texture of sugar on the nails, but my sister used it the other day and it looks really cool. It's something quite unique!

If you would like to see any in depth reviews of these products, please don't hesitate to let me know! :)

If you are interested in buying any of these products then here is the KIKO Website. They are having a sale right now, and plus if you register as a new user, you get free delivery! Bargain:D

Have you heard of this brand, or have you tried anything from here before?

NOTD China Glaze FrostBite + Holiday Snaps!

Hola!

I haven't blogged in AGESSSSS!! Partly because I was busy sorting out finding a job, but mainly because I have been enjoying the sunshine with my friends and last week I went to spain :D

We stayed in a city called Torrevieja, near Alicante and it was really nice! The weather was boiling and the beaches were gorgeous! We also went to Benidorm, Cartagena and many other places! I really enjoyed it, and even got a cheeky tan :D Ginger success!

Anyway, I thought I'd share with you some pictures, but first lets talk about my nails! Whilst in Spain, we went to this brand new shopping centre called Zenia Boulevard and it was amazing! Because it gets really hot in spain, the shop signs occasionally spray really fine mist at you to keep you cool. Also it's open untill really late. Anyway I got this nail varnish when I was there for 6,47 (Euros) and I love it.

It's a lovely royal blue colour (Speaking of royal blue, Congrats to William & Kate :D ) anyway, it has a really nice shimmer running throughout. It's my first purchase from China Glaze, and I'd happily get another one. I like the quality, and to get full opacity it took 2 coats, but really you could get away with one.

So yeah! Now  I'll show you some holiday snaps:D

On the first day, I went up to the roof to sunbathe. (It was 35 degrees c, I couldn't not!) My top is under my feet because it was actually burning! Safe to say I went to the pool after!

This was in Cartagena and everyone was taking pictures with their other half, so me being the singleton, took a picture with him;)  ( He doesn't really look that impressed about it though...)I tried to wrap my hands round him but he was too hot so yeah! haha;)

Again, In Cartagena.

We went on a boat tour of Cartagena and I took this picture of the water because it looked so pretty! Nothing like the gross sea in the UK....

My sister and her boyfriend on a bus in Cartagena. This tour was pretty interesting as I got smacked in the face by a palm tree! But it's okay because we got free headphones :D

We took a lot, ALOT of stupid selfies on this trip. Mostly on my sisters phone, but yup. We are so attractive...

On this particular beach, you could buy slices of watermelon and pineapple, so OBIVOUSLY you take a picture of it.... haha!

I got a tad carried away..

Fanta Lemon was my drink of choice on this holiday, but this was definitely the coolest one! I felt so posh drinking from this!

I could post a lot more so if you're interested maybe I will, but yeah! I will be blogging a lot more now so look forward to that! Also I have Animal Crossing New Leaf now :D YAYAYA.

Gracias for reading :D

Lust List #3

Aren't you guys lucky, ay? Two posts in one day! What in the world is happening? Only joking, I'm just really in the mood to blog and I have seen quite a few things I want lately so I thought, why not. YOLO and all that.

I'll start from the top and make my way round clockwise so you can follow along easily. Also I've linked all the products so if you were interested in buying them you can go have a look.  Aren't I nice... :P

I'm starting college in September and I reaaallllyyyy want these for when I start. I have two other pairs of converse and they are by far my most worn shoes. I love converse! I want these white ones because they will go with anything, and they just look cool!

Slip on Chelsea Boots in Tan £17.99

I want these boots for in the Autumn at college, I feel like these will look good with jeans which is what I like to wear the most. I like these ones because they don't have a heel so they look more casual.

Mi Paisley Backpack - Burgundy £21.99

If you couldn't already tell, I'm on a bit of a college hype at the moment. This is because on Monday, I went to an induction day where I got to try out the lessons I've picked to study for A-Level (French, English Language, Classical Civilization and Sociology if you were wondering :P) ANYWAY I had a backpack for secondary school and it was so useful. I much prefer backpacks to handbags when it comes to school as they are comfier, and you can get more in them. I like this one because it looks pretty :)

ASOS Ridley Acid Wash High Waisted Jeans £14.99

Before I start, you can get these on ASOS but they cost £30 but on Ebay they are £14.99 so be careful when you buy! Anyway I really like the look of high waisted jeans and I've wanted some acid wash jeans for a while. These look quite nice to me, and they are affordable too! Also these would look good with the converse.

Nintendo 3DS XL Pink £164.99

In infant school, I had a pink gameboy colour, in Junior school I had a Nintendo DS Lite in Pink, and now I really really want a Nintendo 3DS XL in you guessed it... PINK. Now the main reason I want this is because of the game I'll talk about next, however I might get a pre-owned 3DS which would only be £80. I really want one, my nerdy side is getting desperate!

Animal Crossing: New Leaf £29.99

This is the main reason why I want the 3DS. I Loved the original version of Animal Crossing and I think I need this. Well, I don't NEED it, I 'need' it! This sounds cool because you can actually be the mayor of your town whereas before you were just living in it. If you don't play Animal Crossing you will have no idea what I just rambled on about!

So there are some things I want at the moment. I'm hoping I do well in my exams because my parents said they would give me some money depending on what grades I get. (If you guys are reading this, I would like to kindly remind you about my A* In RE... yes Dad, It does count.)

Empties #2

I haven't done an empties post in ages, and I've collected quite a few over the months. (You can read my last empties post here) Anyway, I'm going to tell you what the product is and whether I would purchase it again.

Clearasil Deep Cleansing Wipes

These claimed to lift away makeup and impurities whilst making your skin clearer every day. Personally, I found these wipes a bit dry and it was quite difficult to remove my eye makeup with them. Also I don't really think that they made my skin clearer, so I wouldn't repurchase these as I feel you can get a lot better makeup wipes.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

This is a holy grail product for me. This tube is the one I got for my birthday (April 22nd) and I've already repurchased this, and am still using it. I love this so much, it doesn't irritate my skin and it cleanses it so well. I use this on a dry face and massage it over my skin and my eyes and it gets rid of makeup really well without stinging.  A winner for me!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

This was my second tube of this foundation, and I have repurchased this, however now it is in a glass bottle. I like this foundation on the days when I can't be bothered, it's so easy and quick and I know it will look good.

The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel

I got this for my birthday from my friend Beckie (Beckie's Blog) and I loved it! I love the smell of mangos, and I have really sensitive skin and this didn't irritate it at all. I think it might be because it was soap free (It still does get you clean though!) I would definitaley repurchase this. Thanks Beckie!

Avon Solutions Complete Balance Day Cream SPF 15

I liked this alot, but I used this up so long ago I can't actually remember much about it! From what I do remember however, I liked the consistency of this and the smell. I don't think it was too moisturizing though. This would be good for summer as it has SPF in it, so maybe  I would repurchase this if I ran out of my moisturizer.

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave In Conditioner

I've loved this product for years. It smells amazing and really does detangle my hair. Its a product that really works for me, so I would repurchase this.

So these are the products I have used up recently, and now I'm going to have start collecting products over again ;P

Have any of you tried these products? What did you think?

June Favourites!

So another month has gone, which can only mean one thing! My monthly favourites!

June has been quite eventful for me. I finished my exams, finished school had prom, and just generally been having fun and relaxing alot!

I have been a bit more experimental with makeup this month as I haven't been at school, so yeah! Lets get started.

Makeup

Benefit 'That Gal' Brightening Face Primer

I got this with the Confessions of a Concealaholic pallette for christmas and I hadn't really bothered to use it until this month. I used this for prom and my makeup stayed put all night! It didn't clog my pores and it felt really nice on my skin :)

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I have been using this foundation literally every day this month as it is so easy to use, and still looks good. I use my fingers with this as I find it gives a more natural finish. The smell is nice and the finish is really natural- not too matte and not too dewy.

MAC Paintpot 'Bare Study'

I've used this as an eyeshadow base recently and I love the colour of it, but also I like how it lasts on my eye. It's perfect for the days when you don't want to wear too much makeup, but you still want something on the eye.

Sally Hansen Nail Polish "Cherry Cherry Bang Bang"

I used this on my toes for prom, and I really like this colour. It's quite a flattering shade of purple which I think could work well for a lot of different skin tones.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil "Corrupt"

I have been loving eyeliner this month and this one is really good. It's not as harsh as a black, but it is a really nice dark brown. It lasts all day and is so easy to apply and smudge if you want to, but after you let it dry it won't budge!

Face and Body

Radox Stress Relief Bubble Bath

I usually don't like to have bubbles when I'm in the bath because it irritates my skin, but I really like this. The bubbles are really foamy which I prefer, and the smell really does relax me. Perfect for the end of a long day!

Vichy Hyaluron Hylaspot Treatment

I use this as a spot treatment. It feels cooling on the skin and I think it definitely helps to reduce the appearance of spots. It also helps soothe them.

Garnier Moisture Match Stay Matte Moisturizer

I love this, as it feels like a balm, and the smell is pleasant. I needed to have a moisturizer that I knew would moisturize my skin without making it shiny and this does the job nicely.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF30 Suncream

I am so pale skinned, If I don't wear suncream I will literally turn into a lobster! I like this as it's really moisturizing and smells lush too!

Clarisonic Mia 2

I have had this since my birthday and recently I have been loving using it. I use it at night after I cleanse my face and it gets rid of any excess makeup which my cleanser didn't quite reach.

This month I decided I'll include some random favourites for you as well!

Songs

The Other Side- Jason Derulo

I love this song as it makes me want to get up and dance!

Avril Lavigne- Here's To Never Growing Up

I really have been loving this song this month as I just find it catchy and I love Avril Lavigne!

Favourite Film &Tv Show

My fave TV show has been Skins. I was catching up on the last 2 series as series 7 starts today! Woo! I love skins and It's really addictive.

My favourite Film was Beautiful Creatures. I like romance films but this one had a really cool twist which I really enjoyed.

So that's my favourites for the Month Of June. Roll on July! :D
