Lush Haul - Christmas Goodies! November 2013

Hello!

So, today I went to Lush, and I haven't been in there for literally about 3 years... I have been seeing tons of YouTubers doing Lush Hauls with all the christmas collection, so I thought I'd go and have a look and I got quite a lot!

The first thing I knew I definitely wanted to get was the Santa's Lip scrub. I am a massive fan of the lush lip scrubs, (the bubblegum one in particular!) so I was intrigued to purchase this! This is bright red in colour as you can see, and it has some edible hearts on the top of it! These scrubs are amazing, particularly in the winter time when you want to avoid chapped, dry lips! You just take a bit of this on your finger, rub it into your lips, and lick the excess off! (You don't have to lick it off of course, but where's the fun in that!) It tastes like cola which is awesome! This is a tad overpriced in my opinion for some sugar and oil in a jar, but hey, I still bought it!

The next thing I gravitated towards was the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar, which can we just take a moment to appreciate how cool this looks please?! This is a bubble bar, so you crumble it into running water and it creates loads of bubbles. This one may also make my water pink and sparkly, I hope it does but I don't know! This smells exactly like the soap Rock Star which I love, and its basically a really sweet and girly scent.  I'm planning on posting the results of these on my Instagram so if you're interested in how this turns out, make sure you follow me :) (cheeky self promo- sorry :P )

The next item I got, was the Golden Wonder Bath Ballistic, and I am so mega excited to try this out! This is HUGE, and its in the shape of a christmas present which is really cute! It has golden glitter all over this so this might make my bath messy! When you shake it, you can hear something rattling around, and that is some sequin stars  inside of a bright blue shell! It smells really citrusy and fruity.  Apparently this makes your water turn turquoise so I am very excited to try this!

The Christmas Penguin is so frickin cute, I don't think I can bring myself to use it!! This is a bubble bar, so like Candy Mountain, you crumble some of him under running water which supposedly creates oodles of bubbles. I have never tried bubble bars from lush before, but they were doing a demo of one in the shop, and it looked pretty impressive! This one smells so amazing and fresh, and he also looks adorable!

So, the So White Bath Ballistic does look extremely boring, I'll be the first to admit, but I saw Zoe (Zoella) haul this and she said it smelt amazing! I went to smell it and oh my god, it smells heavenly... It supposedly smells like apples, but I can't quite put my finger on it. It smells quite fruity and fresh, and just genuinely amazing! If you get the chance too, I would reccomend you go and smell this because even though it isn't the most visually appealing, it smells ah-may-zing!

So that's all I got from the LUSH Christmas Collection this year, and If I really like them, I may repurchase! If you would like any indepth reviews of any of these products, let me know in the comments and i'll do it! Also, If you want to see pictures of how they look in the bath, be sure to follow my instagram @curiousginger

October Favourites 2013

Hello again!

So another month has come and gone, which means we are one month closer to christmas! (You can't judge me now, it's November, and Starbucks have their red cups!) But in a way, I'm slightly sad October is over as it is one of my favourite months, because I love Autumn! Anyway, enough rambling- onto the favs.

Got 2b Oil-Licious with Argan Oil Tame & Shine Styling Oil

I got this for free when I went to a student shop in with some of my friends, and we took part in a Capital Radio quiz. Anyway, I didn't really think I would like this as I had never heard of it, and usually before I buy things/try things I research them first, but I was pleasantly surprised! I like to use this after I have washed my hair, prior to blowdrying it, and it makes the ends of my hair so so soft! If you are looking for a cheap oil treatment that really works, I'd say give this one a try. :)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie

I have talked about this loads on my blog, but this is one of my favourite shades of the Revlon Lip Butters. I prefer wearing slightly more daring lips in Autumn/Winter, and this isn't too garish so you can get away with wearing it everyday! I love it, and especially paired with the gloss I'll talk about in a moment, it looks gorgeous:)

Urban Decay Supercurl Curling Mascara

I feel like I have a different mascara of choice every month, but I love mascara and without it, my lashes are basically non-existent. (You think I'm joking, but if you go back and look at my mascara reviews, you will see ;P) Anyway, this mascara is really nice, and it holds a curl really well, whilst adding lots of volume to my lashes. For me, I much prefer this over length, as my eyelashes are not that short. Overall though, this mascara is a nice'un.

Fearne Cotton Glossy Lips Lipgloss (un-named sorry!)

I got this as a christmas gift last year, and it came with three other colours. The reason I like these glosses is because they aren't sticky as I cannot stand overly sticky glosses.

The swatch on the left is of the Revlon Lipbutter in Berry Smoothie, the swatch in the middle is of the Fearne Cotton Lipgloss, and the final swatch is the combination of the two.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Pallette

I love this no matter what the month is, but I thought i'd add it into the mix again ;) My favourite combination is W.O.S (Walk Of Shame) with Naked 2 blended into the crease, but If i want to darken up my look on a particular day I'll use Faint. I use Venus as an innercorner highlight and it creates a really natural look.  I really love these, they last all day and the quality is amazing!

Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush

I never really got how this brush came in useful previously, but this month I found a way of using it which  I really like. I now use this brush for my concealer, as I find it adds precision and accuracy:) It makes applying concealer a lot quicker and less messy!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This is my third tube of this, and although I'll admit the packaging sucks, I cannot fault the product itself. It has a really high coverage and it doesn't look too cakey! Plus its under £5 so you really cannot go wrong!

Avon Super Drying Nail Varnish in Rebel Rose

I love this nail colour! I wore it a lot this month as it isn't too neon pink, which is summerish, and it isn't berry toned, its the perfect inbetween and I love it. Also the pigmentation is great, so if you're in a rush you can get away with just one coat, and It dries really quickly! Win win!

Neutrogena Daily Defence Moisturizer

I have used this everyday this month, as it protects your skin against the elements, and I really like it. It doesn't break me out, and it sinks in really quickly. It also doesn't make my skin look really greasy before putting on my makeup so thats always good!

Anyway, that's everything I've been loving this month, I'd love to know what you guys think?

Let me know!
