January Favourites 2018 // Accessories, Lifestyle, Beauty

I used to write Favourite posts literally all the time (well once a month...) back in 2013 when I first started this blog, so I thought I'd start them again, as I personally really enjoy reading them, and also it's fun to reflect back on what stuff I've been enjoying over the month.

This is a particularly exciting post however, so make sure to stick around to the end to get to the good stuff. Or just scroll to the bottom, if you're really impatient.... Anyway, onto what I've been loving this month.

Beauty:

For Christmas my sister got me a set of five mini Smashbox Be Legendary Lipsticks, and they're actually really nice! The shade that's been my favourite so far is Fig- a gorgeous plum/purple shade thats really easy to wear. I've just realised whilst trying to describe the colour, it's close to the colour of Figs... it all makes sense now. I'm a genius, clearly.
The full set is still available on the Smashbox website, and its gone down to £20 for five lipsticks!  You can find it here.

On a night out, instead of putting my usual eyeshadow primer on, I accidentally put the Mac ProLongwear Paint Pot in the shade Indianwood on. (In my defence, they are in the same packaging.) I actually really liked how my makeup turned out that night, though! This shade is a really nice golden copper colour, and it's really easy and quick to apply. You can find it here, if you're interested, but they also have soooo many other colours if this one isn't your thing.

When I saw that Revolution were releasing concealers I was pretty excited to try them. Named Conceal and Define I think these are supposed to be a dupe of the Tarte Shape Tape concealer, however they're priced at £4!! I got the lightest shade, C1 but I actually think it's a bit too light for me. It does have pretty good coverage though, similar to the Collection Lasting Perfection if you've ever tried that, and its 19p cheaper... You can find it here, and actually the shade range is pretty good too, which is nice to see.

Lifestyle:

Over the Christmas break, my Mum said I could take her old coffee machine back to Uni with me, and I've been loving it. It's really easy to use, and makes pretty good tasting coffee to me! My housemates enjoy using it too, so its a win win! The pods aren't that expensive either when you consider how many cups you're getting out of a packet. My favourites so far have been the Cafe au Lait, Chai Tea Latte, and the Caramel Choccochino. (A caramel hot choc) yuuuussss.

If you saw my post on my Biscoff Rocky Road you'll know I am obsessed with Biscoff. I love it so much, and this morning I discovered you can get biscoff flavoured coffee syrup. Life Changing. The obsession got pretty bad this month though, to the point where Adam had to ban me from buying anymore of it. Sad times. Didn't ban me from coffee syrup though did ya, Adam? heheheh

My Dad got me a pair of Dr. Martens for Christmas and I was pretty excited to wear them. What I didn't realise though was how excruciatingly painful they would be. Honestly, I've never worn more painful shoes in my life, the blisters on my ankles were actually awful. You're probably wondering how they ended up in this post. I read online that you have to spend some time breaking them in, so after about a week of wearing the fluffiest socks I own in them to stretch them, they're actually extremely comfortable now. Was a lot of effort though, but they do look pretty cool and go with most things, so here we are.

One of my New Years Resolutions was to drink at least 2 litres of water a day, and I actually have been fairly consistent with it! I do hand it to this bottle though. It just reminds me to drink, and I feel bad if I don't. It was £11.99 on Amazon, and it's actually really nice quality. You can find it here, if you want to check it out- it does come in loads of colours as well.

Accessories:

I kept seeing adverts for Paul Valentine Watches all over my Facebook, and I actually found one I really wanted, I didn't buy it though, because I couldn't justify it. Then, they kept emailing me discount codes and I'd just been paid so I was chatting with Adam about how much I wanted it, and he kept trying so hard to persuade me not to, to the point it was getting a bit weird, and I was starting to get a bit annoyed.

Turns out he had already gotten me it for my 21st (which is in April, by the way) and didn't want me to get one myself. In the end, he told me to shut my eyes and then he went and got the watch from its hiding place, because he knew he couldn't win against me. hahaha, I'm the worst.
I was very shocked, but also felt soooo sooo horrible hahahah. Sorry Adam, but thank you and you're the b e s t.

It's a gorgeous rose gold mesh watch, but the watch face is pearlescent and pink and beautiful. I love it.

If you know me quite well, you'll know I like to change up my phone cases quite a lot. I don't really know why but I just like change I guess. Anyway, I've had this Pink Holographic Marble case since just before Christmas and I actually love it! It gets so many compliments too, which is always nice!

My laptop case broke, so I thought I'd get a sexy new one and looooooook at this one! It's so nice! It's called Pink Clouds, and I think it looks amazing. This is actually a laptop sticker, and I thought if necessary I could just get a clear case, if I feel I need to, but the website does offer cases too.

Now onto the exciting part of the post! Well done for making it this far!

The website these are from-Coconut Lane UK- have given me a discount code for anyone reading this to get 20% off! They have sooo much stuff on their website, including iPhone cases, Laptop cases and sleeves, keyboard covers, notebooks, jewellery, literally so many different things! If you do find something you like use the code:
curiousginger20

And you'll get 20% off your purchase! How exciting! If you do decide to get anything please leave me a comment and let me know!

I think that wraps things up pretty nicely. If you've made it to the end leave a comment letting me know any things you've been loving this month, and as I said do let me know if you decide to get anything from Coconut Lane!

Thanks for reading,

Lauren xx

May Favourites 2014

Hey guys!

It has been a very long time since I have done a favourites post, so this feels weird, but let's just get started!

1. Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream for Oily Skin

In May, there was a bit of a heatwave, so I didn't really feel like wearing heavy foundation on my face, so I opted for this, as it still has medium to full coverage, but it feels like a moisturizer, and it is lighter on the skin. The only thing I hate about this is the smell, but other than that, I have been loving it this month!

2. Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin

I got the NAKED 2 palette for my birthday, and it came with samples of all of their primer potions. I already had the original, so I found myself reaching for this one. It is a champagne colour, and looks really nice on its own, and underneath shadows. It makes them last all day which is a win as well! I really liked using this throughout this month.

3. Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Half-Baked

This month I have been a tad more experimental with eyeshadow, and something I loved doing, was taking a matte brown shade over my lid (Such as Buck, or Naked 2 from the naked basics palette) and then on my lower lash line, taking some of halfbaked on a small brush and applying it there. I found it looks so summery, and its an subtle way to wear gold eyeshadow without looking OTT. Also, the pigmentation is incredible.

4. Elf Studio Blush in Candid Coral

I never usually wear blusher on a day to day basis, as I find it looks too harsh on me, but this one has changed that! It isn't too pink, or too orange, it looks so natural, and injects life into my face! Not literally!
It was also really cheap, and the colour pay off is good. I like using this with the Elf Studio Blush Brush.

5. Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume

Firstly, DAT BOTTLE THO. Secondly, I have been loving this perfume this month, as it is so fruity and fresh, and its not too overpowering. Also the bottle is really cool as well... I'm a sucker for packaging what can I say?

6. Rose Gold Spirit Watch

I got this watch to use during exam season, as for certain exams you need to stick to specific timings, in order to finish your paper! Anyway, I like this watch as It looks really elegant, and goes with most of my outfits.

I have some random favourites this month as well:

7.The Vampire Diaries

I loved season 5. But the finale was so so so sad, I wont spoil anything in case you haven't seen it yet, but prepare yourselfs! The Vampire Diaries is basically about a girl, and 2 vampire brothers, and their friends and all the struggles they face, It's nothing like twilight, and I highly reccomend this!

8 Suits

Another TV program I have been loving, is Suits. It is based in a Law firm in New York and its so funny, and witty. I didn't think I would like this, but I am addicted, and the story lines are so interesting!

9. Owl City

I have loved him for aged, but in this  month particularly, I loved his song "I hope you think of me" It's so catchy, and I can listen to it on repeat without getting bored.

10. Sims FreePlay

I rediscovered an old love this month. I used to be addicted to this game last summer, however I forgot about it, but now my mum and sister are playing it again, I got back into it again and I just love it. It's really addicting.

So that's it for this month. What have you been loving?

Love from Lauren xx

Top 13 of 2013!

Hello!

Instead of doing a December favourites, I thought i'd share with you my top 13 products of 2013! The picture quality isn't great, but I promise in the new year, I will get better with that!

Anyway, moving on...

1. Clarisonic Mia 2

I got this product in April, and I have used it every single day since. It is a sonic face brush, which if I am totally honest, I'm not sure what means, however I know it cleans your face really, really, REALLY well! I use this every night, and no matter how well you remove your makeup, this will always get rid of it even more! I love it, and it makes my face so soft. If your skin is already quite clear, I wouldn't reccomend this, but if you struggle from acne, or the occasional breakout, this could be worth a try.

2. Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

At first I was sceptical of this product as the hype surrounding it is huge, but after using  this (and repurchasing it two times) I can safely say, I see why. This is a cleanser, which you rub onto a dry face full of make up, and then remove with a damp muslin cloth. It doesn't sting your eyes, and removes makeup incredibly. It smells spa like, and has a lot of natural ingredients in. I'm definitely planning on repurchasing this ASAP.

3. Bioderma Micellar Water

I got this whilst holidaying in france, and at first, I didn't really understand the hype. But this is my second bottle, and I am about 3/4 of the way through it! I use this to remove my makeup and it removes even the most stubborn waterproof mascara! For me, I have wanted this forever and it hasn't dissapointed me.

4. Neutrogena 2-in-1 Visibly Clear Wash / Mask

I am a sucker for packaging, and admittedly, this packaging is on the boring side, but one day last january I thought i'd pick this up on a whim, and I am so so glad I did. This is my holy grail face wash, and even though it is so simple, its really effective for me. I use this at night with my clarisonic, and the two of them together are really great. It helps to minimize breakouts, and it's just one of those products that always seems to work for me. I've repurchased this at LEAST 4 times this year...

5. Revlon Colorstay Foundation Oily/Combination

I was hesitant to buy this for such a long time, but I am so glad I did. This is my go to medium/high coverage foundation, and if I know I want my makeup to last extra long, or i'm going to be doing a lot, I will use this. It has a really natural finish, and although it can be quite difficult to blend, once it dries, it is not going anywhere! I also used this foundation for prom so it holds a special place in my heart ;) How cute.. :P joking!

6. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

This was a birthday present, and I use this literally every day for college. My favourite colour by far is W.O.S (Walk of Shame) and I like to sweep it across my lids for a natural flawless colour. I like to use Naked 2 in my crease, I'll pop a bit of eyeliner and mascara on and I'm ready to go! I like this palette, because it is so easy to use, but also really travel friendly! I do own the original Naked palette which I also love, however I prefer this for everyday use.

7. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner in Corruption

Again, this was a birthday present, and I never really used to use eyeliner, but now I use it every single day! I really like how blendable this is, but once dried, it lasts all day! I'm definitely going to invest in more of these in the new year.

8. Mac Bare Study Paint Pot

I love using this as a base for my eyeshadows, especially when I'm doing a matte look.  I like this because it's a really natural shimmery cream shadow that lasts for ages. I want to get painterly paint pot soon :D

9. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey

I didn't really rate this at first, but now I love it! It's my go to lipshade. MLBB (My lips but better) Its so easy to apply, and has a pleasant minty scent. It also lasts a really long time which is a bonus. I'm looking forward to the new year because I think they are bringing out matte versions of this so they should be interesting to try.

10. Nuxe Reve de Miel Lipbalm

For me, this is the best lip balm I have ever used. Fullstop. I love that it's an actual balm consistency, and it actually moisturizes your lips, rather than leaving them feeling moisturized for a little while, but then you have to keep re applying. Nope. With this you can apply it once, and you know that it's doing some serious moisturizing business! A must try if you suffer from dry lips.

11. Tangle Teezer

I have really long hair, so keeping it knot free is the bane of my life. This makes things a little more bearable (Although sometimes I feel like shaving all my hair off)  as it gets rid of knots with virtually no pain whatsoever. It's gentle on your hair so helps avoid damage, yet also really does get knots out of it. I love this! I also got my mum her own one for christmas as she always used to use mine!

12. Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Varnishes

I love this formula of nail varnish, and as I am at college now, I'm actually allowed to paint my nails now. (on a serious note though, how painting nails would have affected my education/ GCSE results- I do not know!) These are so affordable, and the colour range is pretty good. I love their opacity and the finish on them is gorgeous! It looks like you have just had a gel manicure! LOVE LOVE LOVE these.

13. MAC 217 Brush

Last but certainly not least, my beautiful 217 brush from MAC. I love this, it makes doing eyeshadow so much easier. You can use this to blend out a crease colour flawlessly, or you can just blend out one shade, but make it look like you've spent ages on your make up. I really love this. If you want to start getting into wearing eyeshadow, I would highly reccomend this brush. It's a little pricey but it will last you a long time, so maybe it's worth the investment?

So, 2013 in a nutshell. Product wise at least! If you read my blog recently, you'll have heard me talk about these products before I am certain! Again, apologies for the picture quality, but that is something I'm really going to try and work on in the new year.

You will be getting a lot more posts as I plan on doing A LOT of shopping!

hehe!

Have a great new year

Lauren xx

November Favourites 2013

THOSE FIREWORKS THO

Howdy,

It's the first of December which means its time for November favourites:D also, countdown to christmas begins, wooo! I don't allow myself to get excited about christmas until December, so it is now acceptable. Anyways, this month you may notice I don't have any makeup favourites, this is as I literally did the same with my makeup every day, and it was using products I always mention so I didn't see much point. ANYWAY onto the favs....

1. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner

I started using this at the end of October and every time I've washed my hair this month, this is what I have used in replacement of a normal conditioner. It smells absolutely amazing, and it makes my hair extremely soft! Recently, my hair has been really damaged, and I rarely use heat on it so I don't really know why, but I've found this to be really helpful:)

2. Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash and Mask

This is my holy grail face wash, and I haven't mentioned it in a while! I use this at night with my Clarisonic, and I find it really cleans my face well. This is perfect to use if you have a clarisonic, or a face brush however it still works well on its own. I don't really use this as a mask, but it keeps my breakouts to a minimum, and leaves my face feeling fresh.

3. Garnier Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Hand Cream with mango oil

My hands are always dry as I always have to wash my hands. Seriously, I wash my hands in the morning about 5 times, every time I come home from college, I just like to wash my hands. I promise I have not gone crazy! Anyway, this makes my hands even worse so I always use hand cream before I leave in the morning, and before I go to bed, and what I like about this in particular is it is really quick to absorb and doesn't leave your hands feeling sticky. Also it smells amazing! It doesn't last 7 days but I dont really mind.

4. Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

I remember when I was younger I saw my mum using a pore strip and I thought it looked really cool. When I say cool, I don't think ripping blackheads out of your nose is 'cool' but still.. I got some of these in savers this month, and although they really hurt, it is quite satisfying to see all the gunk come out of your pores! (ew)

5. Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy

When my sister and myself were younger, we always used to get given Britney Spears perfumes, she got the pink bottle and I got this one. I saw it on offer in boots  the other day and I had to get it. It's one of those perfumes that brings back memories and I love that. Also, even though it is a celebrity perfume, the scent lasts all day which is pretty impressive!

6. LUSH Santa's Lip Scrub

As it is much colder now, I literally can't stand having chapped lips. I use this before bed and then apply some lip balm, and it gets rid of dead skin on your lips (gross) and makes them so soft! It's pretty self-explanatory haha...

7. Aussie Hi-Hold Hi-Shine hairspray

I was in need of a new hairspray this month, and for me as I rarely use hairspray I wasn't too fussed about what type it was. This one was on offer, so I just picked it up, as it claimed it would last a long time and make your hair shiny. I love this though, because it doesn't smell gross like most hairsprays, it has quite a fruity smell and it isn't overly sticky.

I have had quite a few random fav's this month, so I thought I'd cheekily throw those out there.

1. Midnight Memories - One Direction

One D's new album came out this month and I have been loving it! In particular my fave songs are Happily and Diana :D I listen to this everywhere, on the bus, at home, when I'm in college, when i'm in the shower. It's a good album, and it sounds very different to what you'd expect, but it suits them a lot.

2. Oasis Summer Fruits

I am obsessed with this. I dont know why.. I love it so much, they sell it at McD's now instead of still fanta (which they should defo bring back) and I always get it, Its also really nice when its freezing cold! Now i'm craving some of this...

3. Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth

I got into reading again this month, and I read both of these within a week. You probably think I'm joking, but once I get into a good book, I literally cannot put it down. These are so good! The basic idea is that the country is split into different factions, and you are born into a specific faction, and when you're s16 you can choose to stay into it, or move to a different one. The story follows a girl (Tris) and her decision. I don't want to give too much away but yeah! I'm really excited because they are making this into a film and it comes out next year :D woooo

4. Candy Crush

Admittedly, I am a tad late on the candy crush bandwagon, but I love it. I might not be the best at it but it's a great way to procrastinate ;) haha! It is really addictive though, so beware!

SIDENOTE: I LOVED CATCHING FIRE AND I FORGOT TO MENTION IT, BUT I HAVE SEEN IT TWICE, ITS AMAZINGGGGGGG. sorry.
Next month instead of a December Favourites, I am thinking of doing a '2013 Favourites' where I'll tell you about my fave products of 2013! Let me know what you think:)

So thats me done with the November Fav's, roll on Christmas!

October Favourites 2013

Hello again!

So another month has come and gone, which means we are one month closer to christmas! (You can't judge me now, it's November, and Starbucks have their red cups!) But in a way, I'm slightly sad October is over as it is one of my favourite months, because I love Autumn! Anyway, enough rambling- onto the favs.

Got 2b Oil-Licious with Argan Oil Tame & Shine Styling Oil

I got this for free when I went to a student shop in with some of my friends, and we took part in a Capital Radio quiz. Anyway, I didn't really think I would like this as I had never heard of it, and usually before I buy things/try things I research them first, but I was pleasantly surprised! I like to use this after I have washed my hair, prior to blowdrying it, and it makes the ends of my hair so so soft! If you are looking for a cheap oil treatment that really works, I'd say give this one a try. :)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie

I have talked about this loads on my blog, but this is one of my favourite shades of the Revlon Lip Butters. I prefer wearing slightly more daring lips in Autumn/Winter, and this isn't too garish so you can get away with wearing it everyday! I love it, and especially paired with the gloss I'll talk about in a moment, it looks gorgeous:)

Urban Decay Supercurl Curling Mascara

I feel like I have a different mascara of choice every month, but I love mascara and without it, my lashes are basically non-existent. (You think I'm joking, but if you go back and look at my mascara reviews, you will see ;P) Anyway, this mascara is really nice, and it holds a curl really well, whilst adding lots of volume to my lashes. For me, I much prefer this over length, as my eyelashes are not that short. Overall though, this mascara is a nice'un.

Fearne Cotton Glossy Lips Lipgloss (un-named sorry!)

I got this as a christmas gift last year, and it came with three other colours. The reason I like these glosses is because they aren't sticky as I cannot stand overly sticky glosses.

The swatch on the left is of the Revlon Lipbutter in Berry Smoothie, the swatch in the middle is of the Fearne Cotton Lipgloss, and the final swatch is the combination of the two.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Pallette

I love this no matter what the month is, but I thought i'd add it into the mix again ;) My favourite combination is W.O.S (Walk Of Shame) with Naked 2 blended into the crease, but If i want to darken up my look on a particular day I'll use Faint. I use Venus as an innercorner highlight and it creates a really natural look.  I really love these, they last all day and the quality is amazing!

Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush

I never really got how this brush came in useful previously, but this month I found a way of using it which  I really like. I now use this brush for my concealer, as I find it adds precision and accuracy:) It makes applying concealer a lot quicker and less messy!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This is my third tube of this, and although I'll admit the packaging sucks, I cannot fault the product itself. It has a really high coverage and it doesn't look too cakey! Plus its under £5 so you really cannot go wrong!

Avon Super Drying Nail Varnish in Rebel Rose

I love this nail colour! I wore it a lot this month as it isn't too neon pink, which is summerish, and it isn't berry toned, its the perfect inbetween and I love it. Also the pigmentation is great, so if you're in a rush you can get away with just one coat, and It dries really quickly! Win win!

Neutrogena Daily Defence Moisturizer

I have used this everyday this month, as it protects your skin against the elements, and I really like it. It doesn't break me out, and it sinks in really quickly. It also doesn't make my skin look really greasy before putting on my makeup so thats always good!

Anyway, that's everything I've been loving this month, I'd love to know what you guys think?

Let me know!

September Favourites 2013

Bonjour!

I say that this at the start of all my favourite posts, and I have been doing them since February, but this month has flown by! A lot happenes in September, and this year I started College, got a new Job and got my new room sorted! Anyway, on to my favourites!

I will start with beauty favs :) I didn't have that many this month, as I haven't been very experimental!

Benefit "That Gal" Illuminating Face Primer
I have used this at least twice a week, and I really like it! I want to repurchase it, but I want to try their POREfessional primer first! Anyway, I put this on before foundation, and it just ensures that it stays on my face all day! Also, it brightens my face and makes me look a lot more awake than I really am! Always a bonus...

Revlon Lash Potion Grow Luscious Mascara
When I worked at my old job, (it was McWonderful! you can take a guess...) I always wore waterproof mascara because I knew it wouldn't last otherwise, but as I don't work there anymore I can wear normal mascara again and this has been my weapon of choice! It's not really a weapon, but you know what I mean! This is really volumising, and when I wear it a lot of people have said my eyelashes look really thick, which I love!

AVON True Colour Silky Eyeshadow in Blush
I've been using this as an eyshadow base this month, as it is slightly more interesting than my urban decay primer. It's a pinky/purpley colour which sounds horrific, but it actually looks really nice! It lasts really long too! You could easily wear this on its own without any eyeshadow on top and it would still look pretty :)

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie
As its autumn now, I like to apply something on my lips rather than lip balm, but most mornings I get quite lazy! However, I have been using this for the last couple of weeks, and been loving it! I'm sure you have all heard about these by now, but if not, click here to see a full review and swatches etc etc!

L'Oreal Stay Matte and Messy Salt Spray
I have been using this when I wear my hair in a pony tail as it makes my hair look messy on purpose, and I hate my hair looking really neat! This smells really nice as well, if any of you want to see a full review of this then just leave a comment and I will :) Its no problemo.

Moving on to fashion favourites (what... i'm the most unfashionable person ever!) But this month there has been something I've been wearing over and over again...

I have a tiny obsession with flannel/checkered shirts! I usually get mine in one size up as I prefer them to be baggy! These are so easy to style, I usually wear them on their own with some leggings and boots, but you can wear them with dresses, graphic t shirts, jeans, basically anything! My favourite is the darker green one because I think it goes well with my hair! Also people compliment me when I wear them so thats always a good sign. You know who you are, and I know you are reading haha!

And finally, one more favourite, which has been my Favourite of favourites...what?

Yup, I am including my bed in my monthly favourites. I have no regrets. As you know, I moved house recently and I got a bigger room, so I got a bigger bed! I now have a double bed and I can't even tell you how comfy it is! I love how girly it looks, and the fairylights are so cute! Ahhh I could spend all day in this. In fact, I DID spend all day in it today... oops.

Jeez, that felt like a long post!! Haha there was a bit more random fav's this time, but hey ho! I hope you enjoyed this post! On a side note, I'm thinking about getting my helix pierced so if any of you have that done leave me a comment on if it was painful, and your experience :)

Thanks for reading!

August Favourites 2013

Hello, long time no speak, but I have been extremely busy since receiving my GCSE Results. I have moved house, enrolled at college, been working, and today I had my first day at college, which went really well.

Anyway, this post is a smidge late, but I have not had internet for a while, as we have just moved house, but hey! Better late than never!

August flew by for me, and I think it was probably one of the busiest months of my life/year. Because of this, I don't really have that many favourites, but the ones I do have, really have been true faves, so without further ado...

1. St Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Blemish Fighting Scrub

I have been loving this scrub this month, especially where it has been so hot! I am a really big fan of the St Ives scrubs, as they are really abrasive  but they get the job done. This one also has salicylic acid in it, which helps heal and prevent acne.

2. Bioderma Crealine H20

When I went to france, I picked up two huge bottles of this because I really wanted to try it, and I'm so glad I did. When I first used this, I didn't really understand the hype around it, but after a while of using it, I really am loving it. I use this at night to remove my makeup, and it really does get rid of it all, whilst being really refreshing on the skin. I think you can get cheaper micellar waters that do similar things, but if you get the chance to- give this one a whirl!

3. Reve de Miel Lip Balm

Again, I purchased this in France, and I'm glad I did. This is a really thick lipbalm which really nourishes and moisturizes the lips, without being really greasy. It also has a really nice smell! I use this at night before I go to bed, and my lips have been silky soft!

4. MAC Pro Longwear Eyeliner in Rich Experience

I have been liking eyeliner this month, and this one was the one I gravitated towards the most. Its a really beautiful brown colour, so isn't too harsh on the eyes. It's easy to smudge out when wet, but when it dries, It will not budge until you want it to!

5. KIKO Luxurious Lashes Waterproof Mascara

I have been using this on the days I have work, and it  ensures my eyelashes won't have smudged  all over the place by the end of the day. It defines my lashes really well, and it holds a curl well- which is also good for me, as I love a good curl in my lashes ;)

6. Urban Decay NAKED Basics Palette

I'm sure most of you have heard about this by now, but this month I have leant towards a more matte eyeshadow look, and this has been my go to palette. All of the colours in here are really high in quality, and pigmentation, and they stay put all day when I use a primer with them.

7. Revlon Colorstay Foundation

I think this has become my holy grail foundation. I love the way it stays on my face all day, with minimal shine and amazing coverage. I'm starting to run low on this, but I definitely will be repurchasing!

So there you have it! My august favourites. I can't believe it is September already and I have just started College. It's so crazy! My life is becoming a lot more interesting now, and I'm looking forward to see where it takes me! Living the adventure ;)

See you soon! xx

July Favourites

August is fast approaching, so here comes the July Favourites. I'd say July was a pretty good month for me overall. I had a taster day at college which I enjoyed, I got a job, I went to spain, and the weather has been good! Roll on August!

Makeup Favourites

KIKO Full Coverage Concealer

I got this about half way through the month, and I really like it. It suits my skin better now I have a bit of a tan, and it stays on all day! Also I like the packaging as it comes with a mirror, so thats really practical!

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream

I was using this non-stop through the beginning of July! It's a bit light for me now, but I thought It still deserved a mention. Usually I don't like BB creams as I found they just didn't give me the coverage I wanted, but this one is different. It provides good coverage, and lasts a pretty long time. One thing I will say is I hate the smell of it!

MAC Paintpot In Bare Study

I think I can safely say I used this everyday in July. It's really nice and has a subtle shimmer which makes you look really awake. I put this on all over my lid, and sometimes I'll just leave it like that, but usually I put my eyeshadow on top of this and it lasts all day!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

I have been loving wearing brighter colours on my lips this month, and I found myself reaching for this one alot. I'm sure by now, everyone and their cat has heard about these Lip Butters, but they are really moisturizing, and the colour range is great.

Gold by Giles Pink Nail Varnish

It doesn't look like anything special in the bottle, but when you put it on your nails it transforms into a neon pink! I used this on my toes for my holiday, and it makes you look really tanned! Also the colour is gorgeous!

Body/Random Favourites

Body Shop Mango Body Scrub

I love the smell of this! I have been using this scrub as the weather got warmer, to buff away my skin and I love the effect of this! It makes my skin feel so soft, and as I mentioned , it smells amazing! If mango isn't for you, there are lots of different scents so next time you pass by The Body Shop, go in and have a sniff!

St Ives Fresh Skin Invigorating Apricot Scrub

Sticking to scrubbing away dead skin cells (That sounds nice..) This month, I have been loving this scrub for my face. It's not too abrasive but I can still feel it better than other scrubs I have used in the past. The scent of this is also really nice, and it hasn't broken me out.

Tangle Teezer

This has been my lifesaver of the month. I love this hairbrush, and I cannot reccomend it enough! It works well on wet hair as well which is really handy, especially when you are jumping in and out of the pool/sea. Also my mum and sister love it too, which is very rare!

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Perfume

I took this on my holiday and now every time I spray it, it reminds me of Spain! I love this, it's quite sweet, but not too much.. Okay I am awful at describing scents, but If you get the chance to smell it, please do!

Randomly, this month I have had an OBSESSION with lemon sorbet. I love it! It's so refreshing and I just love it! Yummy! Now I want some lemon sorbet :(

Also from Costa, I've been loving their Red Berry Cooler, It is so yummy and all of my friends like it too!

So, there are the things I have been loving throughout July!

Have you tried the Tangle Teezer?

June Favourites!

So another month has gone, which can only mean one thing! My monthly favourites!

June has been quite eventful for me. I finished my exams, finished school had prom, and just generally been having fun and relaxing alot!

I have been a bit more experimental with makeup this month as I haven't been at school, so yeah! Lets get started.

Makeup

Benefit 'That Gal' Brightening Face Primer

I got this with the Confessions of a Concealaholic pallette for christmas and I hadn't really bothered to use it until this month. I used this for prom and my makeup stayed put all night! It didn't clog my pores and it felt really nice on my skin :)

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I have been using this foundation literally every day this month as it is so easy to use, and still looks good. I use my fingers with this as I find it gives a more natural finish. The smell is nice and the finish is really natural- not too matte and not too dewy.

MAC Paintpot 'Bare Study'

I've used this as an eyeshadow base recently and I love the colour of it, but also I like how it lasts on my eye. It's perfect for the days when you don't want to wear too much makeup, but you still want something on the eye.

Sally Hansen Nail Polish "Cherry Cherry Bang Bang"

I used this on my toes for prom, and I really like this colour. It's quite a flattering shade of purple which I think could work well for a lot of different skin tones.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil "Corrupt"

I have been loving eyeliner this month and this one is really good. It's not as harsh as a black, but it is a really nice dark brown. It lasts all day and is so easy to apply and smudge if you want to, but after you let it dry it won't budge!

Face and Body

Radox Stress Relief Bubble Bath

I usually don't like to have bubbles when I'm in the bath because it irritates my skin, but I really like this. The bubbles are really foamy which I prefer, and the smell really does relax me. Perfect for the end of a long day!

Vichy Hyaluron Hylaspot Treatment

I use this as a spot treatment. It feels cooling on the skin and I think it definitely helps to reduce the appearance of spots. It also helps soothe them.

Garnier Moisture Match Stay Matte Moisturizer

I love this, as it feels like a balm, and the smell is pleasant. I needed to have a moisturizer that I knew would moisturize my skin without making it shiny and this does the job nicely.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF30 Suncream

I am so pale skinned, If I don't wear suncream I will literally turn into a lobster! I like this as it's really moisturizing and smells lush too!

Clarisonic Mia 2

I have had this since my birthday and recently I have been loving using it. I use it at night after I cleanse my face and it gets rid of any excess makeup which my cleanser didn't quite reach.

This month I decided I'll include some random favourites for you as well!

Songs

The Other Side- Jason Derulo

I love this song as it makes me want to get up and dance!

Avril Lavigne- Here's To Never Growing Up

I really have been loving this song this month as I just find it catchy and I love Avril Lavigne!

Favourite Film &Tv Show

My fave TV show has been Skins. I was catching up on the last 2 series as series 7 starts today! Woo! I love skins and It's really addictive.

My favourite Film was Beautiful Creatures. I like romance films but this one had a really cool twist which I really enjoyed.

So that's my favourites for the Month Of June. Roll on July! :D
